June 2008 (continued)

On the 16th I was fortunate to have had tickets to attend the Get Smart premier in Westwood, with my friend Grace Roubidoux. We were lucky to run into Jill Jaress, the writer/director of Someone to Love. All three of us had a fantastic time at the movie and then enjoyed a delightful dinner out. It was a terrific evening!

The 17th brought an early afternoon audition for the show Greek on ABC Family for the role Claire Golan. The audition went well. It was held at the CBS Radford Studio. I am always amazed when I have an audition on a Studio Lot that all I have to say is who I am, what casting office I am auditioning for, show them my ID and POOF they let me on the lot. I know that this is my life, yet it still blows me always.

After my audition it was off to a pool side meeting with my Aunt Hilary Wogan, her partner Christie and my cousin Zander. It was so good to catch-up and steal 2 hours before my friend Sarah Waiss arrived.

Sarah arrived in the afternoon and our 8 days of fun began. We spent the day at the beach on the 20th.

Followed by Dinner on the Santa Monica Pier with my friend Jennifer Schemke, then a ride on the Ferris Wheel.

The 21st started with an adventure to Griffith Park for the annual SAG Picnic. It was ridiculously HOT! 116 sound like fun? Well we didn’t think so either, so we were off for a manicure and pedicure, followed by dinner and a movie at Universal City Walk. The evening was still insanely HOT, but fun. I personally didn’t find Get Smart as funny the second time, although I still enjoyed it.

On the 22nd Sarah was thrilled to see two of her old friends from Colorado Springs that now live in Santa Monica. Katon, Jon and Bethany (Katon’s girlfriend) were terrific hosts! They introduced us to this funky little restaurant, Cha Cha Chicken, near the beach. We explored Venice, the Marina and had a wild adventure looking for a bathroom. The evening reminded me of those random, crazy, fun nights that we had in college.

My favorite thing to do in LA is to go to the Getty Museum. On the 24th I was thrilled to take Sarah up the hill via tram and explore the wonders of art.

We ended the evening with dessert @ Jerry’s Deli with Grace Roubidoux. It was an exciting night, which introduced Sarah to the wonderful world of being picked up in LA.

Unfortunately, Sarah’s LA extravaganza concluded on the 25th. On our way to the airport we stopped at the Grove for a bit of shopping and eat lunch at Farmers Market. Our visit was a delightful time of laughter and friendship! Love ya Sarah!

On the 28th I was in a runway show for the Divabetic event at Paramount Studios. These wild pictures of fellow Rage models Joy Nash & Leah Cevoli were taken during the event after our runway show. It was my first LA runway show. The other girls were great and the event was a festive extravaganza celebrating life.

After the event I meet up with my dear friend Megan Burkett who was in town with her husband Trent visiting one of his friends Corey. We all went out to dinner for the most FABULOUS steak that I have ever had! The filet melted in my mouth. It was SOOOOOOO GOOD!! It was also GOOD to see Megs!! I love seeing the people that I love!!
